FAQs

1) Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes. The deposit is $250, payable through PayPal or Zelle. This reserves your spot so that no other appointment can be placed during this time.

2) Is the deposit refundable?

No. If you cancel, since that time was blocked out specifically for you, it means that I didn’t have any other clients scheduled for that time when I could have likely booked someone else. You can reschedule for another day (subject to availability) and have the deposit applied to the future date.

3) When is the rest of the payment due?

The rest of the payment is due no later than the day before our session.

4) What payment methods do you accept?

I accept payments made through PayPal, Zelle, or by cash.

5) For packages that offer multiple locations, does travel time count as part of the session?

Yes. Please pick your locations with this in mind.

6) How many locations are available for the all day package?

I would like to keep it at a manageable number and every client is different. Some clients will want 2 or 3 locations. Some will want 5. It’s important to remember that, as with the other packages that offer multiple locations, travel time between locations counts as part of the 8 hours. The number of locations will be agreed upon before the session is booked.

7) Are there any locations where you won’t go?

Times Square and Brooklyn Bridge. Both locations are extremely crowded, which makes getting good shots very difficult.

8) How many pictures come with the all day package?

You will receive over 100 images. Over the course of 8 hours it is impossible to determine an exact number of images.

9) What happens if I have to reschedule?

I understand that sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. In the event of illness, family issues, etc. we can reschedule and your deposit will be applied to the future session. However, if we reschedule and you have to cancel or you miss the second session, no future sessions will be scheduled and the deposit will not be returned.

10) Are there any travel fees?

For sessions that take place within the 5 boroughs of NYC there is no travel fee. For locations such as various parts of upstate NY, or to other states, the client will pay all travel fees for the photographer (train tickets, Uber). In the event of travel outside of the 5 boroughs or out of the state, the photographer’s travel fees will be paid no later than 1 week before the session is to take place.

11) What happens if it rains/snows?

In the event of a weather related occurrence the session will be rescheduled for a future date.

12) Can I bring a friend/relative/etc. to my session?

While I understand that having a familiar face might make some people relax more in front of the camera, it can also be a distraction (both for the client and for me), so I don’t usually allow people to sit in on our sessions.

13) When and how will I receive the pictures?

The pictures will be delivered no later than two weeks from the date of our session and will be delivered electronically through Pixieset.

14) Can I have the RAW files?

No. The RAW files will always remain with me. The client will be delivered high resolution JPEGS.

15) Can you Photoshop me slimmer, etc?

If a client has a blemish, then I will edit that out. However, I will not alter a client’s body or face.

16) Will you put my pictures on your website or social media?

Putting pictures online of shoots I have done is how I show my work and get clients, but if you would rather your pictures not be online, please let me know in advance by marking “no” on the contract that I send you.

17) What happens if I am not satisfied with the pictures? Can we do a re-shoot?

If I have performed my obligation as a photographer by delivering what was outlined in the agreed upon package then a re-shoot is not offered.
